Type of fish:
In the waters of Western Swedish coast typical sea fish is caught - codfish, mackerel. On the East coast of Sweden, in the Baltic sea there is a lot of pike, pikeperch and perch. Rivers are good for excellent salmon, trout, pike ir poerch fishing. In most Swedish lakes you can try unusual pike, perch, pikeperch, trout fishing in clear environment untouched by civilization.
Ways of fishing:
Fishing from a boat in big lakes and rivers. Fishing predatory fish – with spinning (the most popular and effective fishing), Mepps or troll. In Sweden with a bait rod one can catch trout, grayling, salmon, sea trout; rarely - perch, pike. In big lakes salmon and trout are trolled. In ice fishing a coachman is used.
Fishing seasons:
Climate differs in different parts of the country. In the North of Sweden it is only several months per year that waters are not covered with at least thin ice. In the Southern parts of Sweden one can fish all year round. For example, pike and trout fishing with spinning is the most appropriate way of fishing in April in the South, while in North it’s the hottest time for ice fishing.
